The Usual's came in to this one nervous facing the feared dark elven Which Witch is Which who had run up an impressive win-loss record and trotted out some truly spectacular star players.
Having never played their darken brethren the Bloodspots decided to bring some muscle by hiring their 1st tree, Keyser Söze, and using their sizeable inducement to hire Morg \'n\' Thorg off the street.
Once the match started it was clear these two teams were well coached and had brought their "A" game. The woodies had sharpened their spikes and quickly ko'd several Witches. Morg gave a hearty chuckle at the puny elves and squashed the Witch King of Angmar with a mighty blow to show the pointy ears how to really take a foe out. Undaunted the Which Witches mounted a good defense but eventually allowed the Bloodspots to score on turn 8.
The halftime break was well received by the Witches who were able to field a full squad for the second half and methodically worked their way down the pitch with the Good Witch of the North and her brethren dodging and weaving their way for a turn 15 score to force overtime.
Afterwards coach Lonestar admitted that the game would most likely be decided on the coin flip as both teams had shown an excellent aptitude to score and he was happy to be the recipient of Nuffle's favor as the Usual's won the toss. Receiving the kick the Bloodspots protected the ball and carefully matriculated down the pitch to score the deciding touchdown.
The match was a good one with blood to go along with some spectacular elven plays. gamelsetlmatch is an excellent coach and was never out of this one and this match could have very easily ended up as a loss for the Usual Bloodspots.
Never the less I am proud of my boys and we are happy to continue our unlikely journey into Round 4 of the FC!”
