Our ball for a start, always good, Anarchy was unleashed on a tight line. Bribery ... chickened out, often said that's not a cage, big fella. Confused him for most of the day too. Big mistake. Thieving was ratted out, but Nepotism recovered. With a runner in range they called on the Wizard, Secrecy hidden away with two others, and that was that. 0-1.
Extortion tried. Suddenly Bribery was playing stupid, something up there. Fraud killed a ringer, might have been responsible, but then it was stupid Corruption too, both of them, and Nepotism exposed on the ball as the ref said Dirty Pool killing Toby was a bit much. Skitter's stab started working, Extortion only slowing him down. The loose ball covered by our suddenly alert trolls, to no avail as the scatter went their way and they set up a stall well out of reach. Racketeering went over to push them in, bring on that Fezglitch before the half. 0-2.
Intimidation worked on Pam for a bit, Bribery recovered from Fezglitch quicker. Nepotism put on a wee show with the deep kick, but couldn't change the score.
Ten on eight for the second, not bad. But the kick was a touchback and they caged the wing, Fraud dodged in with support from Nepotism, couldn't scatter the ball, and they cleaned him up and scored the long way, as rats are prone to do. 0-3.
Bribery needed some encouragement to block right, left Racketeering a bit down. Skitter sprinted to put Nepotism out, that's our third key player gone. Kickbacks got in a nice kick, and then needed the Apothecary to save him, good backup fouler by the look of it. Easy score, us down to six. 0-4.
Finally we could try the throw, Hush Money to Ransom, but Bribery wouldn't play. We all worked to clear the scrum, Hush Money, Corruption, Graft, and this time Bribery got Ransom in the clear. 1-4.
Pam finally came back, so seven on nine, and their ball. Bribery again playing stupid, there was little to be done as they ran it in. 1-5. Another deep kick made that the final score, and all we could do was murder that annoying bastard Skitter after he worked the ball free yet again. Rats.”
