“A spirited match from Halffun. To the relief of the Frenziers, the treemen of the opponent had decided to take root for the first half of the game, leaving the row of fearless halflings facing my elven boys all alone.
Needless to say, halflings were flying about, as the eager Frenziers got all block-happy. Maybe even to the extent that they almost forgot to score. Well, to be frank, despite the fact that the halflings were overpowered, they gave a good defense, which prevented the first half from turning into a complete touchdownfest. The only TD of the first half was scored by Andurion the Annihilator, the dodgy lineman. The fact that the chefs of Halffun were cooking something delicious, which completely distracted the Frenziers, might have had something to do with it.
The second half was much more interesting. Right after the first kickoff, that began with a touchback, the now awake Treemen threw Scratch the halfling very close to the end zone. The stunty little fellow made his way all the way before the Frenziers even had the chance to make a move, scoring a surprise TD. Very impressive and classic touchdown halfling style, much to the fury of the fierce dark elves.
The Frenziers made a quick recovery, though and soon scored a second touchdown. After that, the game was pretty much one big beatfest from both sides, and true to their block'n'go style, the Frenziers even got their fans yelling "TIMBERRRRRR!" as one of the treemen came tumbling down. The spirited furfooted little fellows were not distracted by this, though, and were very close to scoring a second surprise touchdown. They fumbled the ball just before the very end, though, and thus the Frenziers got their 2-1 victory, but only because the halflings got unlucky.
Surprisingly enough, there were no heavy casualties on either side - one lineman from each side will be recovering from their injuries for one match. To the disappointment of the fans of the Frenziers, the only fouls came from Halffun players, and one of the halflings was expelled from the game due to dirty play. The elven armor held tight, though, preventing the fouls from causing any heavy damage.
All in all, it was a lively and even match - the halflings are not to be underestimated as a team, especially once the treemen are on the field. It was a fun and entertaining game to play.”
