“An exciting and eventful match with loads of quick turns. The Norsemen of the Frostbites dauntlessly knocked out the gruesome Rat Ogre of the Runners in the beginning of the first half, thus gaining an opportunity to beat down the lines of the skavens. The defense of the Runners held tight, though, but finally the fierce lineman, Seppo Surmantuoja (Seppo Banebringer), managed to score the one and only touchdown of the whole match.

The second half of the game was a brutal fight that involved loads of fumbling with the ball from both teams. The unfortunate careless block thrown by Onni Ogrenpoika, the gentle giant of the Frostbites, rendered the big ogre unconcious, and he was knocked out for the rest of the game, whilst the Rat Ogre was now wide awake and ready for vengeance.

The Norsemen did a few attempts to snatch the ball and run through the skaven rows, but were taking big risks and failed miserably at times. Miraculously the defense of the Frostbites held tight. As the Gutter Runner oZeDo accidentally got killed as a lineman stepped on his neck while the little fellow was lying on the ground, the skaven offense became more and more exotic. The fans almost got to witness a Rat Ogre scoring a touchdown. Almost. The Norsemen could but sigh from relief as the referee's whistle signalled the end of the game that resulted in a scarce one touchdown victory for the Frostbites.

The only true casualty suffered by the Frostbites was the broken collarbone of Kullervo Kostaja (Kullervo the Avenger). He will most certainly miss the next game, and the doctors predict that his arm will probably never be quite as strong. Whether this will end the lineman career of Kullervo is still undecided, but he will certainly not be playing fulltime anymore

It was a very even match that easily could have ended differently. The Runners had several opportunities and good attempts to score their touchdown, but Lady Luck had bet her money on the Frostbites. This time.

When the hero of the game, Seppo Surmantuoja, was asked how the team will celebrate their advancement in the Finnish qualifying rounds of the European Championship, he simply said that the boys will be having a nice and relaxing sauna evening. He did not want to comment any upcoming games yet.”
