“XFL X High Elf - Round 2

After getting a bye in the 1st round, it was Malmir's high elves in the opening game for OMF.

The game started out disasterously. I was making mistakes left right and centre as I struggled with lag, the thrower failed a go for it to get the ball, and then I temporarily ragequit to reboot my computer. A few turns after returning to the game, I'd refound my inner fun but was 1-0 down.

It was back to 1-1 by half time after Malmir made an error on the OTS attempt, which was most unlike him. The 2nd half was defined by the wizard as Malmir tried to tease it out. I held off until what was probably the best moment, and that turned the game as I got both a great scatter and great dice, despite my best efforts to mess it up. It required a 4+ pick up to score the winner, but that was the way I was being bailed out by Nuffle, and this time Malmir's OTS tempt was scuppered by dice.

I feel sheepish going through after the way this game begun.”
