Ramchop played a tight game of Bloodbowl. He received the kickoff after winning the toss and managed to get his ball carrier within 1 square of the touch-down line, but a vulnerable 1 square away from the sideline as well...
Oh ho I thought - this is why I selected Frenzy for my MA7, Orc Blitzer. and when my Frenzy Orc blitzer came charging in to surf the ball carrier (Old Fish) into the crowd, I felt confident that the ball would be spilled and the Old Fish would be either on the ground, injured, or off the pitch courtesy of the crowd surf with a 2 dice double block... Nuffle, however had other plans... I rolled snake eyes attempting the GFI required to make the first hit. With my frenzied orc eating the dirt at the ball carrier's feet Ramchop wasted no time blitzing with the ball carrier on the assisting orc on a 1 dice block, gaining the pushback and scoring.1-0 to Frenzy Trees.
Some luck balanced with Ram's bought star Wilhem KO'd early and then half of the Orc team pitched in to lay the boot into Clark (the scary super star Snow Troll)... The 5 pairs of stomping boots did the trick, with Clarksent off the pitch nursing a serious injury, -MA and a wasted apothecary attempt (all on turn the 4th).
More good luck saw the wizard attempt a lightning strike on young Skyorcer, with a (1) on the effects table, so Luke shrugged off the static and got on with his game... But the Trees weren't done yet, some nifty field positioning, blocks and dodges saw a 1 dice POW result on skyorcer and the ball was spilled.
The Unicorns managed to pick the ball back up and score, but were unable to gain enough leverage on the field to convert opportunity into a second touch-down.
A well played game by Ramchop, pulling out a 1-1 draw against the feisty Unicorns.”
