And so the O!M!F! crew finally meet their match as the hard hitting Pride of the Old World team overwhelm us in the second half after a hard fought first.

In our defense, the PotOW literature had the line, "if anyone manages to kill pendor..." at the very beginning. Derek was reading it at half time and announced that we would indeed kill Pendor as he needed to show that he could read good as an example to the children at his people-sized school. As we searched for pendor, the underhanded opponents hit us low and took a number of our team out. It turns out Pendor doesn't even play for them any more! The paperwork was a lie!

It had started well enough. A fireball hurt one, then Derek unleased magnum to seriously injure Sickario. Larinor had been suffering due to a very effective witches brew and, with the ball stolen, we managed to strut our stuff until T6, until Mugatu fell over - damn you Mugatu! - giving Sammler's elves space to pressure the touchdown T7. Their OTS came off, ours failed at the last roll. Frustrating moments! At 1-1 the 2nd half was, amongst the search for pendor, a case of stretching it out in order to preserve our chances for a regulation time victory. It was a big difference.
