“Jakob Küchenmeister's journal, #10 entry:

Today the dread lords of the night visited our stadium. Warm, bright sunshine, strong wind were the main characteristics of the weather.
The vampires kicked off and unusually master Gorefeast went for the ball, while the others tried to grind the opposition into the turf. Drakku got the ball and was surrounded by his teammates. The vampires seemed hungry, biting their thralls regularly. Meanwhile we managed to record our first kill on the field ever. A thrall tried to eviscerate our little hero Crumbstealer, who fought back and managed to climb on the thralls back and tear out it's throat. The minion bled to death in minutes. The opposing numbers were thinning, thanks to our efficient blocking. After some tough fighting, master Drakku saw an opening and led by Running Runt near the endzone. With no vampires to halt our touchdown the kind monster handed the ball to Runt who walked in for the score. 1-0!
The last minutes of the half our opponents took revenge by taking out Brakk Skullchewer from the game.
Second half started with our fans roaring and encouraging the team after the kickoff flew right into the opposing corner. The vampires showed a great display of running, taking it all the way to our endzone, thanks to Bargaz Rockeater plunging face first into the turf at the feet of the ballcarrying vampire. 1-1!
The last drive started with nine of ours versus seven of them. A deep kick and a dead referee later our chances looked grim. Crumbstealer got the ball and we advanced, already counting on our almost trademark desperation flying snotling. Two more thralls left the field, one knocked unconcious, the other with a badly looking open fracture on the shin. Crumbstealer was safely surrounded by his guards in the midfield. Two of our snotlings went into scoring positions while another thrall died thanks to the effort of the rampaging master Gorrak. Our opponents went for it all, trying to win the game, but failed, leaving Toadeater unmarked and in scoring position. Some tense moments followed, with Crumbstealer sprinting towards Toadeater, stumbling, but keeping his balance, handing off the ball to Toadeater, who ran in for our winning touchdown. 2-1!
