Match, yes, there was a game. Great snacks at halftime but the match. The ogres turned up with stomachs rumbling, ready to rain down the pain on the flings and steal their secret blend of herbs and spices.
Flings recieve and behave just as expected, one tree roots turn 1, the other fails a gfi. All hail the atoms... saffron? what an idea. And freshly baked rolls too... the flings try and cover the ball but the ogres are on them quicker than a fling at a buffet. Crowd surf the ball carrier? sure why not. Favourable scatter? great. Hand off to a nippy ogre? top work. Another bowl of that soup? Yes please. Foul Niels Bohgre to death? No thanks. Apoth resuscitates him but a bit to violently and cracks his skull. Boooo :( on the other hand, at least he's got some soup to take with him. 2 flaggons to go please chef!
Second half starts much like the first, violently. By turn 5, 11 flings are off the pitch but they have the ball and the ogres are struck dumb by the smell from the stand. The chef is spit roasting something and the drool from the ogres is at risk of drowning the snots. Last minute blitz on the ball carrier can only push him and Happy "Palflaling" runs it in for 1-1.
2 turns left and the flings can only set up 2 trees and 3 flings.
Kick off table, throw a rock, 2 flings left.
Block, one fling left.
Blitz, no flings left.
Roland sprints up the pitch and Hydrogen pulls off a beautiful short pass which is expertly caught. One turn to go. 7 squares to go.
Timber, the most nippy of trees manages to mark him but falls short of an actual blitz.
Snotling in place for the assist, Richard goes for the blitz at the exact time the chef pulls out the trump card: freshly baked apple pie. droooooooooool.
The onus is on Roland for the dodge to win the game... drooooooooooooool.
