2 natural one turners and a clawpomber - so a merc dirty player was hired. The threat seemed enough to keep the hitter blitzer cautious, and I'm sure that contributed to the lack of damage incurred.
As it was, despite being on defense, by half time my team had thrown more blocks and had been allowed to equalize (Doc Lystria's team standing aside). The casualties seemed to be going our way after that, and an opening quad skull was survived when the opponent's dice didn't prove much better.
