Apparently, I can not beat a Chaos team that is way below me in TV (tied a rookie one earlier this week with my NWFL Chaos dwarves at 1700 or so TV). When it counted, double skulls plagued the Techies late in the game.
Played all game in the snow.
1st half was pretty standard and what you might expect. The Dwarves of Karak University slowly marched forward while UNLV back pedaled. Thompson completed 2 passes on the drive, and Larry was able to run in for the Go ahead TD. The Techie defense held and we went to half up 1-0.
2nd half the defense looked good and was going exactly as planned..until a double skull block on a blockless Chaos warrior allowed their ball carrier in for the tying score. Then the ensuing kickoff saw Bo go down on the 2nd block of the drive with a double skull. Still had a chance, but the Running Riot still had a wizard in their pocket and the lightning bolt did the trick..oh, and Junior, with block and dodge, going down for at least the 3rd time this game on a POW (no tackle on UNLV's team).
Both injuries were to journey-Beasts, so we didn't beat up on them too badly.
Thompson gets 3 completions and becomes a super star (76 spp), gaining...accurate! :) (might as well go all in in making him a passer/QB)
