On defense it was all too easy for the Devils in the first half. It must have felt relentless for jmonforton as his players departed the pitch with worrying regularity, including a 3 player swing in one early turn. It was capped by the death of super star lineman Pluto as Monk ended his career and scored 3 casualties in the first half, including the legendary catcher Mercury (apo used).

The babes did their bit, giving the Epics 11 players for the 2nd half, but the game was looking tough for them now. Blitz! The Epics swarm to the ball, and the Devils fail to get back effectively, and it's 1-1. Mercury was badly hurt by a foul in the process though, a key removal.

Still, plenty of time for the Devils to score and now the Epics are men down at kick off. Blitz again! Now things are getting interesting! It doesn't pan out as successfully this time though, as the Devils manage to bring down the blitzer who had caught the ball and end up smashing their way to victory.
