Bigger than ever, bigger than everyone else, just as it should be, Bribery and Corruption have overcome great challenges to enter the Tuco Noriega Regional. First up an exhibition match in the late winter snow against a one-time only team of Lizards (who were feeling the cold just a little).
Our defence was perfect against rookies, as expected, Extortion threatened, but Intimidation tried. Their strength showed, but Corruption sent the ball fleeing and Thieving stole it away with the help of the crowd, and soon the ball was held at Ransom deep in their territory.
The lads gave them a chance, a few taking an early warm shower. A small Conspiracy was sufficient to regain the ball, but not for long, Bribery wouldn't throw and Graft wouldn't dodge for the final cover. The slippery surface no hindrance to their score.
Bribery, once more, simply didn't throw. Still, time for the real weapons to take the field, show these reptiles what this game's all about.
Extortion was tried, soon removing their biggest threat, taking a quick rest next. Thieving away with the ball was entranced by their speed, but unlike them simply couldn't dodge once more, and despite Extortion getting the ball free for one last shot, the bloody snow was too slippery for our own recovery.
It seems the Pretty Bait Machine simply didn't take to the game, they were not seen again. Maybe they can be found buried somewhere near the field? Rumours abound, who knows the truth.
{Handy tip, GFI to avoid the 8d blitz, if you have any left}
