The Norscan Survivalists League Final saw The Order, champions of the Frozen Sea Conference against the league commissioner's own Sjoktraken Oilers who had triumphed in the Sea of Claws Conference under somewhat mysterious circumstances before taking their semi-final match in extra time.
The elves bore the scars of a tough season and fielded four loners while the chaos dwarves were at their highest TV to date, missing only a skill-less hobgob. This allowed the elves to reach deep into their bag of dirty tricks.
The Oilers opted to kick off and put the ball deep. The Order collected it and moved up the pitch, giving a couple of the loners a gentle tap on the skull as they went. After the ref spotted a rather obvious gang-foul on one of the centaurs the elves were four men short. Then five. Then six. The Oilers tried some creative attempts on the ball, but nothing went their way and The Order were eventually able to find the endzone.
Eight Oilers set up as if they were going for a quick score to start the second half, but it was simply a feint to draw the little dwarves out of position. Quad skulls to start the next turn left holes all over the pitch and the elves surged forward. At that point the commish announced his intention to stall for extra time and with the dwarven block dice ice cold it appeared that they would have no problem doing so. Eventually though they left a small opening and Týr Gunnar cantered through to knock the ball loose. It became trapped against the sideline and a few more elven 1s put an end to the match.
A really tight final. The Oilers brought their Commissioner's Armour, giving up zero casualties and not even a ko in the second half and they ran the little dwarves ragged from side to side. Could easily have gone the other way.

The Order will now have the honour of representing the Norscan Survivalists League in the Casualty Cup against whichever of Norse or Amazons triumphs this evening in the SSL Final.
