This potion is said to greatly enhance one's luck, while simultaneously increasing the risk of a heart attack by a factor 20. Whether or not the Marksmen all drank a dose of Luck of the Desperate will be uncertain for a while. But the symptoms displayed by Graziano, just before he died appear to be common with a slight overdose of Luck of the Desperate.

Inquiries are also made into why Kraaaaaack the Troll ate both the body of the deceased as well as the only reliable and qualified witness, doctor Oakhugger. Was it mere hunger after a strict diet? Or did a Marksman indeed quickly hand the Troll a bag of gold, just before he ate both elves, as is rumoured, to dispose of all evidence quickly?
