“NWFL Season 13 game 5

The Raiders continue their dominance over the Horehounds, winning for the 3rd time against them in 4 tries (only non-win was a tie in our 1st match up--a preseason match up in season 12)

The game was played in the Pouring rain
1st half Campbell takes his time picking up the ball (taking 2 turns in the rain) but does get the ball and starts advancing up the pitch. The raiders continue their bad play from last game, getting a Double Skull (rr'd at least) and a Triple Skull in the 1st 4 turns (making it 5 double and 1 triple in our last 8 turns over two games)..Still, we managed to eventually get out of the scrum and get Campbell a TD, going up 1-0 on turn 6 or so. An Early double skull by their Snow Troll doomed any scoring chance that Helstinki might have had before half time.

2nd half Zhar Naggarund looked deep into their playbook and came up with the perfect defense. Sure enough, the Raiders soon were in possesion of the ball and had the Horehounds reeling...oh, and Curly, our Mino, was the one with the ball! He finally scores on turn 7, making his stat line this game exactly the same as it was the last time the Raiders and the Horehounds met...1 TD, 2 Casualties.

Matthews gets the MVP and takes Mighty Blow. The team bites the bullet and buys a 3rd RR.
