Third Major QF for the coach and 2nd for the team, we were hoping to get lucky this time. And it got pretty close in the end, even though at half time it didn't look like it. We chose to kick but Nurgle's game plan seemed to work out as they kept removing players. Went for an aggressive defence with few players and even had a 1d on the ball, but couldn't stop the score. Made the pushes for the one turner but failed the 5+ catch. With 9 Elves against 11 Nurgle and the Wiz the 2nd half looked challenging, but we played a reverse stall and managed to outflank our opponents with 3 players, forming a sideline cage. When the Wizard fizzled and a 2d on the ball only gave pushes, it looked like the bed was made for the Elves, only Snakes could stop our equalizer... but Snakes did!
A tense game in the end against a strong coach. Rise Like a Phoenix survive to fight another day. I'll get my Semi one of these days, you just wait! ;-)
