“This was my comeback game, coming back to FUMBBL that is. I was unfamiliar with several things, but soon got into it again. RcdORC was patient and and understanding when I was being slow. Many thanks to him, and a painful sorry on the loss of a spectacular orc legend.
I don't mind killing the ST4 death machines of the world, but a MA8 AG4 orc? That's something that actually makes the game more entertaining, and I'm saddened by his demise.
The game then!
I received and started up one side after the first kick off being Pitch invasion. "Welcome back!" said the fans. The orcs caught up, and it seemed we would settle in for a bash all the way to the end zone. RcdORC then chose to go for hurting some players, and commited enough players to it that I could comfortably run and screen a turn 6 TD. Both my trollslayers went to the KO box and never came back.
Atrapados had 3 turns to score. They got the ball to legend blitzer Marmota, but were careless or bold enough to leave me with a chance to double gfi for a 1d block with a longbeard. I lost my reroll to double skulls before, but took the chance and brought the ball down!
Next turn the orcs couldn't move my SF longbeard from the ball, and to keep any chance of scoring Marmota dodged into his TZ, picked up the ball and ran. Just when leaving his TZ he fell down hard, very hard. The apo swooped in but his life could not be saved.
Second half, 10 vs 10.
The orcs came on strong but couldn't get any good hits. They switched sides, trying to shake the slower dwarves, and got a BH on Super star Crannog. The Beards hit back, and managed to shake up a 1d blitz on the St4 ball carrier, POW and KO. I thought that was pretty much game over, but in the following fight over the ball the orcs came out last turn needing 2+2+3+3+ to score, but failed the pass.
It's good to be back.
