Odds before the game were strongly against us and so we chose to not hire a Wizard and a Chief Cook but some powerful stars. That helped for sure as the opponent strongly seemed to fear the -2db Strip Ball or 1db blitz on my ball carrying Count Luthor Von Drakenborg.
As the game progresses and we managed to somehow get in scoring position, outnumbering our opponent helped, drunkagent had his one blitz on Count Luthor and he rolled a 1db POW. To the surprise of our fans we chose to roll some dices more and tried to pick up and go for it twice with Count Luthor again instead of selecting the more proper Vampire next to him, who had to roll a 2+ for pick up only in order to score. Count Luthor failed and so it was 0:0 before the second half.
The kick off presented a pitch invasion and a ball deeped kickly into their half. The was the begin for a thrilling half. We tried to hurt the Thralls and simultaneously put up some pressure on the Strength 5 Blodge Side Step Vampire, who got hold of the ball in turn 3 deep in their half.
We weren't able to increase the pressure but lost a few players until turn 5, when out of nowhere a 2db resulted in a turnover for their ball carrier. We chose to score and put up defense for the remaining three turns.
To our surprise we had two chances for a 2db Blitz on their ball carrier (the obvious Vampire again), where the last chance was effective and Wilhelm Chaney used his Wrestle to get the ball back to where it belongs.
Victory, albeit not fully deserved after such a horrendous mistake in half 1.”
