“The first half saw Deemland receiving.
The match was give and take for the entire first half, with the pitch ending half cleared on both sides due to a combination of Hungry Squigs and Hungry Strigs. Each team saw 2 casualties, though nothing serious, with the bulk of removed players being knocked out. It was Quazim's thirst that stopped Deemland in it's tracks however, and allowed the half to end in a 0-0 draw.
Then the second half happened. Once again, Quazim's thirst came at a terrible time, and the Strigoyan Lord lost the heart to keep playing, choosing instead to take a maiden from the crowd back to the sideline for a conversation and a drink. Meanwhile, the Squigs took to eating Thralls as often as the remaining Strigs, and in the nd, left only one thrall on the pitch as Stays Home ran in for the winning TD.
With just enough time for a Hail Crypt Ghoul play, the Strigs lined up for one last attempt. Once again, it was Quazim failing to launch, this time quite literally, as he dropped Rosco ending the game.
In the end, much blood was spilled, but no permanent scars were left in these 2 franchises second meeting. The end result was revenge completed, with the Squigs taking victory to avenge their loss in the first meeting, but the crowds, at least, seemed to love the match.
See ya for round 3.”
