We started off on defence and the game went well for us from the get-go. We managed an early ball carrier sack and were able to position ourselves well for an inevitable recovery and score. We nearly went up 2-0 at the half but failed the T8 hand-off.
Things continued to go well for us in the second half, making use of Maurice Richard's 4 agility and 7 movement to break through the middle, protect and run away with a score to go up 2-0. We later added a late score to make it 3-0.
Our team played quite well, and our opponent suffered from quite a few 1s. We did a good job of forcing tough dice, many one-block die hits, and occasionally -2BD hits. The Norse team did fairly well with those hits (1 BD hit = 83% non-skull).
In the end, Maurice was a huge game changer. Making a few tough dodges at some key points of the game to get in the balls tackle zone and using his agility to recover the ball in opponent tackle zone(s). Fitting that he received the team MVP in addition to his 3 TDs.”
