With Corruption failing, Bribery stands alone in the SWL to menace the new squads. This one none too new and well skilled for facing the goblin menace.
They failed the pickup, Intimidation and Extortion playing on their minds, Cinderella imagining snakes. We got some pressure on it, Extortion as good with the ground blitz as the standing one. She managed the pickup in traffic easier, so a Wizard bolted it free, things heating up no end, Kickbacks sneaking it and Hush Money covering. Little use that was.
There was a chance at the ball, but Aurora faced down Ransom's push, and then suddenly Bribery was seen off for the day and that was the game as good as done.
Ariel killed Extortion off with a foul boot (good girl!), but our Apothecary saw him right enough for next season. Take a better foul than that to kill a Goblin! They scored with a little time for our weapons to come in.
Fungus the Loon saw our difficulties with the trolls and joined Anarchy in facing them down. He saw out the first, and then fell early in the second. Anarchy left isolated, Kickbacks had a long pass to ... well, Conspiracy was left holding the ball.
Nepotism proved no more use than his famed uncle in gathering the scatter, they moved the ball up and left us a small opening by dropping it, far from everyone. Anarchy tried to free up a catcher, but fell in the attempt. Eventually they stopped clowning about and scored once more.
Kickbacks put on a small display of passing skill at the end. Our fans were not amused, and switched to watching bigger players with dodge.
{Handy tip, protect the weapons and trolls, just a bit, it keeps them busy}
