“What a match – one of the wildest I’ve ever played. Went in with a three man bench, which meant nothing after Teobaldo notched 3 casualties in his first 3 blocks. Capitulators were able to hurt two skinks, though, and the sun hit the lizards hard in the second half, making the human half easier than it could have been. Still, lost our ogre and a lineman to a casualties, and a lineman to the ref’s keen eye, so had to get a little risky at the end to get to overtime. Lost the coinflip in OT and lined up with 7 humans v. 8 lizards. Was able to knock the ball loose, but humans quickly left the field. Hatter, however, refused to go down, sidestepping around the ball after taking 3 die hit after 3 die hit. 6 triple die hits it took before he, too, was sent to the KO bench. The humans were down to only three players against seven, but CroixFer’s final remaining skink, Ssssandokan IV, missed back-to-back pickups with RR on both, leaving him unable to score. Capitulators won the shootout, even though they only one player remained on the field by the end of the half. Throughout, CroixFer was a great opponent, even when Nuffle stiffed him at the close.
