“Literally nothing was going right for the rotters right off the bat. Double skulls and failed ball pick-ups galore. They very quickly found themselves down 1-0 after some great witch elf dodging. Two straight riots let to short chance of a return score and while they could have scored with two 3+'s (two tries), it was not meant to be.

We entered into the second half down 1-0, receiving the ball. We received to start the second half but a blitz followed by a missed ball pick-up resulted in another very quick Dark Elf score to go up 2-0. It was looking pretty bad down 2-0 with the Elves having a Wizard still in their pocket.

We received the ball and finally caged up. Suddenly, a wizard strike demolished our entire cage exposing the ball, our opponents quickly scooped and marched the length of the field. An unnecessary go-for-it attempt to score, would have made it 3-0 (unnecessary since ending turn one square shy would have lead to a situation where a score was pretty much guaranteed anyways).

However, Nuffle decided to punish the elves for their gfi attempt, ball bounced into the crowd and the crowd tossed it around half court. We managed to scoop and 4+ pass to an open Pestigor, 'Zinger', for the score.

With a few turns to go, we lined up aggressively. Our opponent leaped over our line and then received a long pass over our heads from the 5 ag runner. We managed to sack the carrier, recover the ball and swing it around immediately into the offensive zone. Our opponent managed a 1 BD hit but rolled a skull. This allowed for us to cover up/run off, leading to a T15 score, which tied up the game 2-2.

In the end, we somehow escaped with a tie instead of a 3-0 loss. How nice it is to have another season of Blood bowl upon us!”
