After the first turn, I would have been thrilled with the draw. Of course after the wizard allowed us to recover the ball, the draw was less appealing. Still, we both took risks that didn't pay off and gave up the defensive TD. Considering how badly the armor rolls were and the sheer number of POWs we faced, this was a pretty decent result.

Update - I think you're reading some of those dice wrong. Armor rolls are rolled by the coach of the player that falls down. Otherwise, I made 35 blocks and every single one of them knocked one of your players over. I don't think that was the case. Well, plus 2 fouls and whatever failed dodges you may have had. I'm not sure about how to read the injury dice but those might also be rolled by the 'receiving' coach.”

CaveTroll's comments made me curious, since now we can actually compare our tendency toward confirmation biases against the actual stats. So I looked at the stats for the Doctors:
14/104 Block Dice came up POW - that's actually below the 17.33 expected average. Now the argument definitely could be made that 14 POW's seem like a lot and perhaps it is. Also the Sirens recorded 11/71 POW's, just a tad under the 11.83 expected average.
17/50 Block Dice were successful - hard to interpret this since some undoubtedly needed a POW and some succeeded on a POW or POW/SKULL.
9/24 Armor Rolls were 8+ (breaking AV7 w/o MB) - average expectancy would be 10, so just under average.
4/11 Inury Rolls were 10+ (injury w/o modifiers) - average expectancy would be 1.83, so well above average. Sirens were 3/9, also well above average.
