“The first match for our expansion team was an away match against a more seasoned Erengrad Vikings, and with a more seasoned Coach as well. By claiming that the stadium was being repainted and selling false tickets to the alternate stadium across town, Cascade fans lured many viking fans away, so they actually managed to be a majority of the fans inside the stadium. One would think that the Crimson Paint would give the scam away, but...

We did not expect much, but a plucky Cascade started with the ball and shredded Viking armour like it was paper in the first half. 6 KO's, but unfortunately no casualties. Star quarterback Anders Hoffman could walk the ball in for a TD at the end of the half, and the Vikings attempt for a quick equalizer came to nothing after a sacrifice apo was used to keep a crucial KO'd player on the Field, blocking the run for their catcher Stephen Hill. Unfortunately, this sacrifice played no role at all as Viking thrower Shaun Hill made a fumble out of his pass to his brother.

Second half started with a score by the Vikings. Viking quarterback Shaun Hill made another fumble, and a confused Davante Adams, who tought he was covering Shaun suddenly ended up with the ball in his hands and two Cascade blitzers boring down on him. Suddenly, Davante was flat on his back and the ball was loose, but second draft pick Justin Bethel saved the situation, blitzed Markelle Martin onto his back on the ball and grabbed the ball after a bounce out of Shaun Hill's who once more fumbled catching the initial bounce. Since almost all of the Cascade players had gambled on placing themselves to capitalise on the attempted steal, they were in no position to stop Justin from scoring.

With half a half left, Cascade made an attempt to push through on the right flank, but Eric Kendricks stopped the attempt with a tackle that sent star thrower Anders Hoffman off KO'd. Unfortunately for the Vikings, they had no player in scoring position to capitalise on the sack.

Experienced goblin referee Nyxter "Rateater" Wheezkey made him self unpopular with the crowd in the first half by banning three players for foul attempts. Thus, as second half progressed, an impatient crowd started to chant "GET THE REF". Wisely, "Rateater" quickly abandoned the stadium and was later found nervously looking around while gnawing on a rat below one of Erengrad's many bridges.”
