This game was a victory of AV9 over Stunty without Dodge, and a story of bad KO rolls for the opposition, who were down to 4 men or less for the whole second half.
We won the coin toss, elected to receive. The Dorf Dorks played Spiked Ball. We started grinding up the right hand side, and all was going smoothly, when one of those Dork Blitzers used Stunty to zip in and 1d the ball-carrier, popping the ball free and creating a scrum. We managed to get control on turn 7, and to get a lot of guys out, but a failed catch on the bouncing (spiked) ball led to a stun on my intended carrier, which turned us over and ruined our scoring chances.
The second half was all about the Dorks' KO rolls. They were terrible. We burned ourselves out of rerolls early, though, and the ball was sitting in the endzone, so after we neutralized what little resistance remained, we kinda had to walk it in and give them a new set of KO rolls. Fortunately again, these rolls too were terrible, and the remaining gnomes weren't able to keep us from snatching the ball, clearing the pitch, and running in a second score.
