“It was an even match on paper by team strength, as the Death Song were a hitting team with almost no dodgers, and the Hellbringers were without their surehanded Hobgoblin, and things looked bad for the Hellbringers at the start of the match when it was pouring with rain.

However, the Hellbringers managed to push through halfway into the opening period with Hobgoblin Noggla scoring his first ever TD. The Death Song lined up confidently for the next kickoff, but were caught in a bad position when a quick defensive switch by the Hellbringers (Perfect Defence) saw a stack of Hellbringers in front of a big hole in the Death Song line.

The Hellbringers stormed through and recovered the ball with newly recruited Bull Centaur Bzagrog Thunderhoof carrying the ball to the End Zone for his first every TD. The defensive drive was costly however, as Chaos Dwarf Zmorak was seriously injured from one of several fouls commited by the Death Song during the passage of play.

The second half saw the Death Song fall under intense pressure again after the kickoff. The Hellbringers managed to recover the ball deep in defence and carry it all the way back up to the other end score again, sealing the match for the Hellbringers.

The Death Song combined well to score a late TD, but by then, it was too late to have any real impact on the game.

Some bad rolls for my opponent who had some troubles picking up the ball early due to the rain and then suffered a Perfect Defence roll that put his entire team under pressure in the first half.

Some laughs for both of us, as he continued to foul during the second quarter and even got sent off, but argued the call successfully!”
