“Opponent won the coin toss, elected to kick. We lined up, they lined up, we got some of their men out, and the rest prone, and slipped Sylph Apsara downfield with the ball. They played some neat tricks with a successful 5+ Hypnotic Gaze, knocked Salamander Alpestris out, and got a zone on the ball, but we managed to keep it clean after a longish scrum. Even then, they got a guy on the ball again on turn 7 with some sneaky dodges, but we managed to blitz him off of it and walk it in. In the second half, they failed two pickups, and we got a bunch of men onto the ball. Grome got niggled on a 1d block. A big scrum ensued in their backfield, but since we had a bunch of Stand Firm we managed to stay on the ball, and with a little luck, Gnome Corundum scooped it and ran it in for a score in the closing seconds of the game. 2-0 win.
