Things got steadily worse from there.

A blessed and bold Dunkelwald Initiates quickly put a Bull Centaur out of the game and pressed their early lead to force the Children into a series of reckless plays that ultimately saw the Elves steal the ball and score in the first half.

Things looked a little better for the Children in the second half, when they started to build up momentum, but not quickly enough to prevent the Dunkelwalds from scoring a second touchdown. In the brave battle to stop the Elves, a Lineelf was valiantly murdered, while crowd favourite Gainer very nearly lost his life to an elf that managed to get a lucky shot in from behind.

With only minutes left on the clock, the Children attempted to make one final push to score, only for this play to also fall before the Dark Elves' superior ability to jump and catch the ball. Without any real hope of scoring, the Children did took the only honourable path left available to them and kicked two of the downed Initiates in the face.”
