“Weird game. We received first, and drew a Blitz! They attacked the ball, but we got it safely caged up, thanks to Stand Firm. We couldn't get the ball out of bombing range, though, and a well-placed bomb stunned our carrier and left the defense in control of the ball. we made a scrum of it, but a Sepulchral Stalker got the ball and dodged away for a TD. We should have scored in turn 8, but I screwed up, opting for a 1d blitz rather than a 3+ skilled dodge, and skulled out. On their drive, we made it hard and they had to opt for a fast score, but this did give them a 2-0 lead and more or less iced the game, as it just takes this team too long to walk in a TD. We didn't manage a quick score, opting instead to skill up an Earth Elemental. 2-1 loss, record 9-2-4.”
