“This team is blessed, and I say that even though they blew through both re-rolls on the first two turns of the first half and still ended both on failed two-dice blocks. After ending turn three on a double knock down one-dice block on the ball carrier, turn four began with the ball tucked in between three apes. And that's when things took a dramatic turn for the Dren. Crichton elvishly stole the ball with a 4+ pick-up, threw a pass to Noranti who sprinted to safety, and all of a sudden the Dren were in control with the apes all bunched at midfield. Chiana scored her third TD of the season three turns later.
For Science came close to pulling off a two-turn TD to end the first half, but from the mid-first half on Nuffle seemed to conspire against them. The ape army ended up winning failed two-dice blocks 5-3, and all of the Dren's leap blitzes of the ball carrier worked. The Dren even out-casualtied For Science despite throwing 30 less blocks and the game ended 10 on 6 in the wood elves favor in a bizarre twist.
Both teams left the game pretty healthy, with the Simyins down one linemen. We wish them well for the rest of the season. Next up for the Dren they face the red-hot humans as they try to stay atop the table.”
