The wood elf game plan is hard to stop when the dice are working for them. On defense, survive the initial onslaught. Then, harrass the ball. In this game, a 1d leap-blitz pried the ball free on turn 2. The wood elves pressured the loose ball, the scatter worked in their favor, and Rygel pried it free in turn three. They were then able to stall and execute a full field handoff/pass to score in turn 7, Rygel to Jool to Moya. Another score early in the second half, this time Crichton to Pilot to Noranti put the woodies up 2-0. Noranti's score was the first by a non-lineman this season.

The wood elves continued their aggressive play with the big lead, but the humans got one back. They advanced the ball quickly on the kickoff, but left the ball carrier exposed. A blitz knocked the ball out, but Pilot failed to pick it up on the sideline and the crowd threw it up to the middle of the field. The humans picked it up, and the elves tried to leap blitz again, but this time it failed. As a result, Ravenheart got the open field handoff and scored easily. With three turns to go, the Dren backed up and then threw the ball downfield on turn 8. H'Stan's desperation heave failed at the buzzer.

Amazingly, the wood elves again out casualtied their opponent, making it twice in a row. (And they have yet to be outcasualtied...JONX). Aeryn Sun becomes the first wardancer to skill up, she'll need it as the woodies advance to face perhaps their toughest test, the Sea Slayers, and perhaps the final roadblock between the Dren and 3rd division supremacy...JONX again.
