“The Hellmouth earn their first point in a game that they alternately could have dominated and also were very lucky to tie.
In the first half, the undead were very effective in removing players and in preventing the humans from breaking through the line and pushing them back towards their own zone. They did not attack the ball directly, though, which is dangerous against a quicker team. The humans finally got position and maneuvered Angel around the flank and made the Ghouls move difficult enough that they couldn't pull off the dodge blitz.
In the second half, the undead made a mess of picking up the ball and reduced their own numbers through bad 1-d blocks and dodges. But, they controlled the edge just enough to give Xander Junior a chance at the endzone, needing 3 GFIs over two turns, with no re-roll, to score. And he luckily pulled it off.
The Undead are buried at the bottom of the standings but getting more and more respectable with each game. Next up are the goblins, with both teams granted an opportunity to climb out of the depths of the Bloodweiser division.
