“Truly a miracle comeback if ever there was one. First elf block of the game was a Serious Concussion to Eric, son of Eric. Then the next 7 armor rolls for the Guardians were all breaks, including 2 KOs and the rest stuns. One missed roll, then they went 10 for 11 before failing to break armor again. Then they slacked a bit and the half ended with 13 for 22 armor rolls breaking Black Watch armor. They also scored. It was a nice job considering I had knocked the ball loose and chucked it back downfield. I screwed up a golden opportunity at a 1 turn TD by putting one of my assists in the wrong place. Frenzy combined with M8 Side Step is nice, but not when you push the Side Stepper into a friendly lineman instead of an empty square :*( Still, we had numbers and even though we burned through all 3 rerolls in the first 4 turns of the 2nd half we somehow managed to get to the ball, cover it and prevent a pick up. Yorgi Yurison caught it and we were able to clear and protect him the rest of the half. The Guardians opted not to try for their own 1 TTD, probably disheartened by our botched attempt.

Epilogue: money was a 1 rerolled into a 3. So not enough to replace Eric, son of Eric. Also, we never did use our apothecary, so Lejf Leifson will miss the next game needlessly. TV 1930 and only 12 players. This will be interesting ;)

Also, the final armor count was 17 breaks on 26 armor rolls. That's pretty close to 2 in 3 armor rolls failed. AV7 at its finest.”
