“NCBB Season 14 game 4

The Young Karak team continues to show their youth in this game, though they do seem to be playing a bit better as a team now. Once again, Coach Xeterog mis-applies the inducement money..this time hiring an extra apothecary instead of a Ref...(should have paid him, and he showed his displeasure by wearing his glasses...2 of 3 fouls were caught!)

1st half was not kind to either team really. KAMU received the kick but did not hold on to the ball long, while the tide of Rolla injuries started early.Still, the Diggers were able to score right before the half to take a 1-0 lead into the lockeroom

2nd half was a back and forth affair. While both teams were whittled down by a stream of players leaving the pitch (the Techies via KO's while the Diggers went straight to the infirmary). By turn 8, there were just 7 dwarves and 6 Norse on the pitch (IIRC). A last ditch effort by Karak University fell way short--as is expected when you instruct a blocker to not only pick up the ball, bu throw a long bomb...

no new skills.

oh, Boomer got 1 bomb off..but it knocked the Snow Troll down and he never was able to get back up. Also, he spent most of the rest of the half occupying a couple of Norse players until he got KO'd..so not a bad showing.
