“The Wolfskins have come to the Crimson pool! After the debacle in Praag that finally ended in a Draw, the team is happy to get back home. Unfortunately, back-up catcher Nicola Krukenberg is still out with her broken arm. Wolfskins have the full squad with them, along with supporters enough to bring the Battle of the stands to a draw as well.

Cascade starts with the ball, and quickly gets themselves into trouble at midfield, as Tillmann Hassel brings the ball with him into a close fight there, and even though he is surrounded by blitzers, Don Shula blitzes him and the ball is loose! Cascade blitzers immediately goes to the rescue, and Turbin hits Shula from behind and onto the ball, which bounces into the not so capable hands of... Dietmar! Ehrenfürst and Ballard Clears the path for him and he is free in the Wolfskins half on his way to the first TD of his career...only to have the coach get onto the sideline and scream for him to stall... Quite confused he is, but stall he does... a little too long. It takes the Scimitars most of the half to get past the other Cascade players, but they finally get their chance when Anders fails a dodge in round 6 (snaked a 2+ and then rolled 9 for AV and 11 for injury) and has to leave the field badly hurt. This allows Brandon Mosley to og for it and blitz Dietmar, and the ball is loose, just a small distance from the Wolfskin goalline! With six Cascade players around the ball and only two in dark green, there is still time, but then Hattendorf fails the pick-up, and Wolfskins Places Three players around the ball to prevent a last round pick-up. Martinreduces to two by blitzing LaVar Arrington, but Turbin faces a hard challenge in getting hte ball out of there, and hand it over to Hattendorf. Gritting his teeth, he gets in there, and manages! (4 and 6 on a 5+ pick up roll), but then Hattendorf fumbles the easy handover, and Brandon sends off Turbin badly hurt for his troubles... Thus the half ends with no score. A sucker award is likely to come your way, Hattendorf!

Second half starts with Cascade one player short (Turbin was fixed by the apo, so only Hoffman is badly hurt), while Scimitars must make do without star catcher Art Monk whose arm is broken after a brutal mMeeting with Turbin. Wolfskins do start with the ball, though.

The Wolfskins start the half with quarterback Cousins failing an easy pass to Pierre Carcon. THe ball is loose, Close to the Cascade line, and back-up quarterback Inga shouts for her team to go for the ball. Turbin clears the way by blitzing LaVar, and Ballard and Hattendorf is there, with Hattendorf claiming the ball. Wolfskins quickly reclaims the ball, though, with Portis blitzing Hattendorf and Cousins grabbing the loose ball and passing it over the head of several Cascade players and into Garcon's hands. He runs along midfield and to the Wolfskins right side, but is poorly protected, and a blitz by Martin knock the ball loose once more. Again, Brandon Moseley steps forward, dDodge away from Raoul and blitzes Martin. Garcon can get on his feet, grab the ball and pass it to James Hanna (who was almost killed inthe first half, and saved by the apo) who is free not very far away from the Cascade goalline. He is alone, though, so once again the ball is knocked loose as Turbin blitzes him from behind. Inga goes for it to pick up the loose ball, but Turbin can't catch her hand-off. Instead, Garcon pops up, grabs the ball from two tacklezones, Dodges tackler Turbin and goes for it twice to score the first TD of the day. 1-0 Wolfskins!

Half of the half left, and Wolfskins are three players short, Art Monk and blitzers Arrington and Taylor. Cascade goes left, and quickly puts TJ in a scoring position on their left flank, while Hassel holds the ball. Wolfskins blasts away Jermias and pack tight around TJ, and a fight breaks out along most of the midline on the right side. Slowly, Wolfskins get the best of this fight, and Portis blitzes Hassel to knock the ball loose. Cascade strikes back, but Portis gets back on his feet, and this time the ball Bounces onto the far side of the Cascade players, and when Rainer's blitz of quarterback Theismann fails, Portis can grab a bouncing ball and hold it to the end of the half. To add to the disappointment, TJ's arm gets broken in the final minutes of the game by quarterback Theisman, and is out for the away match against the Unicorns NeXT round!

Once again, Cascade's scoring opportunity drowned in a mass brawl which the opponent got the best of. In addition, the coach misjudged how long to stall. Thus, we lost both the match and the Place in the play-offs, since Vikings passed us to take the title as divisional leaders. 4 matches left now. Can the Cascade come back in the next game against the Unicorns? They will have to do so without TJ's services. Brightest spot of the day was that Friedrich got his first two casualties!

Wolfskins were unafraid on close brawls, and the extra strength of Portis and Moseley made the game for them.
