The game started with Cheeseland Browns opting to kick off first.
Moran Malicemind showed his strong disdain for the filthy rats with knocking out two linerats with his first two blocks, going deep into the rats' left backfield. At the same time Erodium Sinistrys and Poisonous Medana penetrated the right backfield while Nalarvyne Bloodfang stepped out of the pocket to give her receivers enough time, keeping the ball out of her opponents' reach.
It was Jeremiah Doomstar who blocked free a path for his ballcarrier to run the ball down on the right side of the pitch, handing it over to Sastor Shizophrenion, who then ran deeper towards the skaven endzone and did a quickpass to unmarked receiver Sinistrys. The Blitzer than jogged into the endzone for a smooth, typical-for-dark-elves touchdown.
Cleveland in return tried to run the ball downfield on their right flank in their following drive. Being stopped their easily by the Panthers they shifted slowly towards the left flank, sending Vasnitch and Slacknit as deep downfield threats. Moran Malicemind couldn't stand the stench that surrounded all of the rats' players, taking good aim and killing journeyman George Silentsnake by breaking his neck with a quick motion. While the crowd was going wild the Browns brought the ball to the left sideline. Panthers came rushing in to stop this drive and finally it was Malicemind again who anticipated a weak blow by Yellowfang, dodged it easily and using the linerat's clumsiness to bring him down, thus ending the first half.

With three skaven out (Nalarvyne Bloodfang knocked out Gutter Runner Vasnitch just before halftime) Cleveland started the second half being outnumbered 9 to 11. Their breakthrough down the left lane was brought to a halt when Bloodfang dodged into the Browns' cage and brought down ballcarrier Lobbit. A short flicker of hope for the guests came up when Lobbit was able to recover the ball but it was quickly subdued when first Bloodfang knocked out Gutter Runner Fezzil and then Malicemind - again Malicemind, who had a splendid time tonight and later got rightly rewarded MVP! - tackled Gutter Slacknit who was trying a desperate breakthrough with the ball just at the left sideline. From then on it was pretty easy for the team from frosty Karond Kar: Jeremiah Doomstar secured the ball and - protected by his teammates - ran in the second touchdown for the Dark Elves. Did I forget to mention that it was again Moran Malicemind who turned a block by Lobbit against his opponent and thus destroyed Cleveland's last hope of ever getting near the ball again?

All in all it was a typical match between rookie teams with coaches who lack the experience of hundreds of games with their respective races. The lack of Block on many players caused some turnovers and both coaches didn't risk too much as the rerolls were burned early in the second half.

As a statistical sidenote:
Moran Malicemind, Dark Elf lineman with Block skill, made 5 active blocks, resulting in: 1 opponent down, 1 stun, 2 KO, 1 KILL.
He was blocked 3 times, being pushed back once and bringing down his opponent twice!
In addition he had his opponents dodge out of his TZ twice, resulting in 1 extra KO on his list.
What a deserved MVP!
