Recieving the kick Septic Isle never looked convincing in the heat and their drive was only saved by a helpfully scatting ball with the Nurgle team glad of their decision to bribe the non-sentient object. Neither team was able to land their blows and went into the second half equally matched.

Using their powerful blitzer Louise Jameson as a feint the companions surged into a strong position only for Nurgle team captain Daz to make an unusually agile dodge through the amazon screen to sack the endzone bound catcher. With more fortunate bouncing Septic Isle extracted the ball and looked to have a fair chance at claiming an unlikely winner but were unable to convert the chance. Meanwhile carnage on the pitch claimed two skilled Septic Isle players and Dryad Star Willow Rosebark, who following a name-change defected to the Nurgle cause.

A large windfall and the new Rotter means Septic Isle can at least field a full team against their next opponents.”
