NWFL season 14 game 9

Well, this team can not seem to consistantly win vs teams with 600+ in inducments. At least we got the tie.

1st half started very badly for Zhar Naggarund. 1st turn a hobgoblin in BH and one of my Blockers is stunned. This starts a trend in this game where at least one AV 9 player is stunned or hurt almost every turn for the rest of the game. Anyway, turn 2, Munchak is (or was it Bethea) was BH on a normal block early, then Nobbla takes out the other one on a foul. Then between turns the wizard fireballs and SI's Campbell (apoth works) while I blitz and take out Nobbla. pretty bloody first few turns. Still, the Shreddars decide to stall, so the Raiders take a chance and dodge with White, blitzing the ball carrier--taking him down and managing to grab the bouncing ball. From there, it was just rush as quickly as he could down field to get away from the pursueing Choakland players--scoring on turn 7. Thus turning a sure 0-1 deficit into to a 1-0 halftime lead

2nd half isn't as bloody (well, the Raiders get some hits in, even killing poor Shredhands late in the match), but still more of the same. Advantaged blocks by the Raiders lead to pushes, while one-on-one blocks by the Shredders result in stunned blockers (or at least down ones. Still, Campbell had the ball and just needed a gfi to score..1 rr 1 (using a rr because SF had already been used) results in him down. Hthark gets the ball and no Raider even managed to lay a hand on him as he sprinted for the EZ. With only 2 turns to score, Zhar Naggarund could not manage it...tie game

Brazil gets a skill. still no doubles for my blockers, but he picks up piling on. (that is 4 players with MB/Guard/SF ...and another with +mv/MB/Guard and not one double..just the one +1 mv..oh and 2 more skills with the retired Childress who had MB/G. Still, I like how my blockers have progressed..just would like one or two with claw :)....
