The season had slipped away from us, just too many errors. But Norsemen, these games, sometimes, their lack of armour plays into the hands of the weapons. They bought along one of their own, Helmut, and he would stay on for them.
They lead out, Intimidation and Extortion tried. The bombs they caught easily, and returned, twice. The next was fumbled and they scored. Well. Not much action from us.
Our turn, Anarchy unleashed. Raas eventually seen to as trolls and fanatic and more battled things out in tight. They stole it, but Kickbacks recovered to Thieving and away, with Grumnir dragged down by Hush Money. Then Anarchy pushed in, and Grumnir! The apothecary saved his knee, but not the back. Half time, tie game. Looking good.
10 gobs, not bad, they Blitzed! Trying to clear a spot to have a shot at holding the ball, Bribery found only skulls. Suddenly we were 7, and they had our ball. We tried to steal it, constantly, but blodge and goblins do not mix, especially not with just 4 gobs and not a troll among them. In the end, they ran it in.
Perhaps, it seems, more focus on the ball, and less on the bash. It's been a problem for us all year, but these Norse were no easy beats like the last lot.
