“Fumbbl Cup XV: round three:

The Pearled Unicorns would face the legendary New Vamps on the Blood in this match.

The game started insanely with super star catcher Lamian seriously injuring Jonathan Knight, an opposing legend vampire, provoking the (successful) use of the apothecary in turn 1. Things got even crazier when Lamian killed Jordan Knight, a ST5 blodge pro vampire, next turn (regeneration failed). By then two thralls had left the field already, due to bloodlust. Next turn another thrall was ko'ed by his fellow vampire, leaving only 6 players on the field. This urged New Vamps on the Blood to score, before potentially losing the ball. But when it rains, it pours and so it happened that Donnie Wahlberg failed a gfi (with the team reroll already gone) and dropped the ball. The Pearled Unicorns evacuated it and stalled until turn 8 before scoring. 0-1 at halftime the elves would receive in the second half.

Still, even though the opposition was reduced to 10 players for the second half, actually 8 before they got the chance to play, it's still not that easy to protect the ball against vampires, especially when 3 of them are legends. I definitely need to work on my tactics against vampires, because I made some half silly moves. But Nuffle was kind and even 4d on the ball were not enough to kick it loose. I managed to score the 2-0 in turn 6 of the second half and the game was played.
