A rare win for the Raiders this season, though it was close until the last half of the 2nd half
1st half Zhar Naggarund Star Campbell gets the early TD, while both teams spend time fouling the other. Eventually, White Shoes gets Wendigo out (bh) but the ref spotted the dirty deed. Montreal was able to slip through the porous Raider defense to tie up the game. 1-1 at half, with just Wendigo and White Shoes off the pitch.
2nd half Carcajou got the ball and proceeded to try and push up one side of the pitch. Zhar Naggarund coach Xeterog called for the press defense--which basically pinned most of the Montreal players near one side line. Then an opportunity to get at the ball presented itself and Campbell, seeing the ball loose, rushes over and gets it (oh, by loose we mean in the hands of an agility 4 Norsman but without any support). Campbell takes his time getting to the EZ (no GFI's) while the Raiders finally find the weak spot in the Carajou's already weak armor (most of the casualties cam after about turn 3 of the 2nd half).
Snake apparently wow'd the crowd with his antics...and by antics we mean all of 2 blocks...he spent most of the game marking players and getting knocked down..guess the crowd liked his taunting abilities. Anyway, this inspires him to take Dirty Player.
(yea, coach Xeterog does not call for a foul much, but he like to have that option).
