A hard fought game, and my first in this tournament to go to OT. I took a chance using the wizard near a downed ball and it paid off. But even though I got the ball downfield I couldn't protect Eridu from a 1 die blitz. Worse, Enmerkaurochs couldn't drop the DE Blitzer with 4 dice and they were able to reverse field and score. The Tauruses set up to inflict some pain on T8 and there was a pitch invasion. We still managed to remove 2 more dark elves and not all the KOs came back so we started the 2nd half with a manpower advantage. We exploited the numbers, removing more dark elves and stalling until T16. Then we got a Blitz! on the next kickoff and snuffed out any hope of a OTTD. Overtime favored us with the coin flip and we elected to receive. The Underdark took a lot of shots on the ballcarrier with their leapers but could not drop Eridu even once. Still, the final drive for the score was fraught with peril as a witch elf refused to go down for the first 6 or 7 dice. A timely Pile On produced a lucky KO and cleared a lane for Eridu to run in the winning score.
