#11 Blarg Carrblorg II – Broken Neck (-AG)
We got a part of the murder, as one might say. Hopefully, we'll get to finish the job in the playoffs. Forza columbus!

Subsequent to some dice-related plea by the opposing team:

It comes as no surprise that the Red beta-wolves whine about dice luck via cherrypicking. If they were to take a gander at the total D6s rolled, they'd see a decidedly mundane affair, where I have but the slightest of possible advantages. 3.6 vs 3.4
(Unlike 28 of my other last games, where I roll decidedly less than the opponent).
If that's enough to guarantee such an amazing victory, then surely I am the greatest coach to ever log in to fumbbl.

OBBA MLS Season 26 game #8

Ye olde fates finally caught up to ye New Jórvík Red Wolves tonight. Like last season, we had a chance to move into first but were thwarted by a team we normally defeat with ease. Alas, not ye way we wanted to go out of MLS but at least our playoff run will be brief and we shall get a well deserved rest from OBBA for a bit. Next game will determine if we come back or fade off like LA Galaxy did.

Good lucke, Philadelphia WHAAAHERS, and good lucke to ye rest of ye olde MLS next season. Ye won't have New Jórvík to kick around anymore.

Post Game stat analysis: pursuant to a conversation we had pre-game, I took a look at ye blocking and it wasn't pretty - the match report shows ye orcs with 40 blocks but ye dice stats show 47. 35 of those were considered successful (which I presume to be a knock down). That along with failed dodges/gfis resulted in 39 armor rolls. Of those, 31 resulted in Injury rolls. Of those, 20 were a 7 or higher. Orcs inflicted 6 CAS, and conservatively there were 13 KOs but probably more as some of those 7s could have had MB on them. So 35 successful blocks resulted in at least 19 Red Wolves leaving the pitch. I just noticed the 7 fouls, so that accounts for some of the discrepancy between Blocks and Armor rolls. But still, roughly 50% of the time when a Red Wolf player got hit/fouled/failed a dodge or gfi, that player was leaving the pitch. That is always going to be a struggle for any team.

Conversely, ye Red Wolves threw 33 Blocks (match report)/52 Blocks (dice stats - I suspect this takes into account Frenzy), only 18 of which were successful, plus 2 fouls resulting in 26 armor rolls and 8 injury rolls. The only bright spot was that 6 of those 8 pathetic injury rolls were 8 or higher, which netted 4 CAS (1 perm) and 2 KOs. Another tell-tale sign was the 44% of orc block dice were POW or Push/POW (an even 22/22 split), vs. only 25% for the norse (and only 7% of that was straight POW). Skulls were almost even (15 orc vs. 14 norse), but the norse had way more Skull/Pow (21 vs. 10) and Push (36 vs. 26). The 1 die non-blocks were pretty similar, but the norse threw 110 of those vs. 61 for the orcs. So we were forced to try riskier plays and more often due to dwindling numbers. For all of Philadelphia's previous whining about dice luck, this is one of the most lopsided games I've suffered through in quite a while. Hooray for the new dice stats to help us make sense of perceived unluckiness vs. real unluckiness.

Rebuttal: or your just an idiot who has trouble interpreting math. Which you've demonstrated in RL multiple times. "Math is hard"
