“The Champions face a big Orc team so brought Slibli along again. Some Orcs moved forward while the ball is handed over to the gobbo and the Troll tries to lob him forward. But he fumbles! We have a few tries to get that Gobbo down but with the guard assistance and his Dodge we don't manage. Then another Troll throw sees him crashing to the floor on landing. Santo gets the ball and we then have plenty of time to manoeuvre and make our way up the pitch for 1-0 at half-time. A couple of Saurii are ko'd, one comes back later, and the supposedly sneaky skink Pao is sent off.
The Orc coach was quiet but 2nd half he made sure his Orcs got the boot in and also kept up the hits. 60 blocks total and including a fractured skull to Superiore, which the apo of course ignored. They did quite a few cheeky under strength hits but they came off ok. Scoring the 2nd for us was straightforward as the opposition were spread.
The Lizards weren't causing damage so the Troll intervened by eating the Gobbo! We seemed to have time to score a 3rd but tried to have a rookie Saurus score. He couldn't pick up that oval ball and it ends 2-0. MVP goes to the sneaky git skink Pao undeservedly so no Saurus progress today. The Champions still enjoy the clear win. Also Santo now shows insanely high agility!”
