“The Infinity Pit was filled to the brim with raucous rats despite the downpour and the Lords confidently took the field and elected to kick hoping to take advantage of some bad ball handling. The kickoff brought a drastic shift in the weather as the clouds parted and a red hot sun began to beat down, turning the recently soaked field into a steamy mess.

The 1st half was tightly matched as players on both sides were sent to the sidelines as the Slaanesh matriculated the ball down the field. Eventually LSD took a two man advantage and an ill-timed failed block allowed Nightlord Kratskittar a chance to strike. The skilled Nightlord scooped up the ball and made his way down the field for an end of half score as his highly trained warriors systematically removed opponents from the pitch.

The second half commenced with the Lords right where they wanted to be; with the lead, a 3 man advantage, and receiving the ball. The Pleasure Principle fought hard, even managing to knock the ball loose, but shorthanded were no match for the crafty rats who tacked on two more tallies in the 2nd half. At one point the overwhelmed Slaanesh could only field 4 players as the heat and the bludgeoning had taken their toll.

The game was a good one for the Lords as some of the younger Clan Rats received some much needed experience and despite some bumps and bruises no lasting injuries were taken. The Nightlords will let the Clan Rats revel in their victory this night, but tomorrow begins training for their next match versus the fearsome Scuttlers.
