“The elven blood bath
In what was to become known as the elven blood bath, the Watchers game against the Canopy Liberation Front ended 1-1. The scoring, however, is not what the fans will remember from this game.
The first half started with the elves in possession of the ball and in spite everything the Watchers tried they failed to get hold of the ball. But the stalling and late (T8) touchdown by the elves angred the fans so much that they started a riot and when the crowd was calm again the refere added some extra time to the first half. The Watchers had a good chance to score but Brother Rupert fumbled the critical pass. So 0-1 after half the game.
The second half was just a mayhem with blood all over the field and, close to the end of the game, all but one of the elves had been carried off.
Brother Martin got a bit to eager and scored the 1-1 touchdown a bit too early thus allowing the elves a chance to win the game. But spite of the elves best efforts there were simply too many monks defending so the Watchers managed to hold on to the draw.
Brother Fritz blocked two elves to their death, thus earning him the nickname "the killer".”
