“Warpstone Open XII Qualifier XII round 1

started out bad (1rr1 on 1st dodge of the game) and didn't really get better. Every injury was a SI until late in the game. Did manage to get both blitzers out in the 1st half.

1st half didn't pick up the ball (or even try) before failing a dodge. So the elves do what elves do and get the ball and protect it for 8 turns before scoring. I tried multiple times to at least get my RO next to the ball carrier, but was unsuccessful (my best attempt was foiled because I hit a side stepper).

2nd half was pretty much more of the same, though the elves scored quickly this time. This allowed me to score a quick 2-turn score (finally). I was up players, and actually got a couple of hits on the ball carrier this last drive, but couldn't bring him down (1db with rr, 2db with rr, but no tackle)
Set up for a 1-turn try but my 3db from the rat ogre rolled skull,skull,pow/skull to ruin it. Note: unless he rolls doubles next skill, take juggernaut.

Pinky gets mighty blow, while Whiskers is the 1st player on the team to take wrestle (a skill that was not available when the team was started up).
