“Warpstone Open XII Qualifier V Round 3:

We received, neither team was rolling many knock downs nor inflicting much damange. We forced a few KOs, but eventually scored. The heat took over, keeping our best two players out for the remainder of the first half, giving the woodelves a great opportunity to equalize. A foul used up our apoth and a later surf BH one of our tacklers, en route to a score to tie it up 1-1 with a wizard still in their pocket.

We started the second half with the woodelves getting back all their KOs and not being affected by the heat. Conversely, our guard catcher was lost to the heat.

Down 11 players to 8, the kick off event was a 'get the ref', not a good sign. Our 4 Str Tackle+MB got knocked out early on, which made things more challenging. We had to start playing more aggressively to try and steal a TD and, almost as importantly, force a kick off to try and recover some KOs. We failed the 6+ dodge attempt to get a hit on the ball carrier, who was sporting the -1 Strength for anyone who blitzs him card for the drive.

We were far too undermanned to have a legit chance at the OTT to force OT.”
